Hi I’m Krishna and Dilishque is a family business.
We produce and manufacture a delicious curry paste, right here in Yorkshire!!!
My mum developed the paste for me and now we’d like to share it with you.
I’ll be sharing meal ideas and tips to make the most of your paste.
Our brand name is Dilishque…
In Hindi, the words Dil means heart and Ishque means love.
We chose this name for two reasons and the second (the first I’ll explain next time) is, for us, meal times are family time where we share good food and great stories. We enjoy making memories and I hope Dilishque will be a part of yours.
The Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival has been fabulous each and every year I have been. This year it was made a little bit more special as this is where I launched my new venture with the support of my family.
The demonstration that I did on the main stage in the afternoon was a scary but I decided to relax in to it and enjoy.
Below are a few photographs of some of the visitors that came to see us.
You can find next to the info tent in The Hub sponsored by Wilkinson Woodward.
We have a raffle, cooking demonstrations and there will be a chance for you to taste the end result.
The demonstrations will take place at:
12 pm at the stand
2 pm at the stand
4 pm on the main stage – so grab your seat
6 pm at the stand
We will be sharing the reasons why we are bring our product market, so please come down and find out more.
See you there.
THE ANSWER IS NO!
Why? Because sugar doesn’t jump into my mouth and make me eat it. I choose to do that all by myself, or do I?
Sugar is addictive. There are many specialists, nutritionists and experts out there that can explain the effects of excess sugars on the body. For me, it’s simple, I just take note of how I feel after I have eaten too much sugar. I feel great to start with but then, very quickly, I feel awful.
But what if I don’t know that I have eaten any sugars (not carbohydrates, just sugar)?
Many manufacturers add sugar to their products to make them taste better to us, the consumer. So, the only option is to learn to understand what you read on the labels of your favourite food and hopefully kick a habit that you may not even know you have had for however long.
Take control to kick the sugar habit. Eat it because you choose to and not because it’s in your food.
The Huddersfield Partnership (HP), previously known as the Huddersfield Town Centre Partnership, is celebrating 15 years of the Huddersfield Food & Drink festival.
The new team at HP headquarters are really pulling out all the stops to make this year an even greater success.
We are delighted to be granted a place at this prestigious event, which has all been made possible due to the kind sponsorship of Wilkinson Woodward.
The Huddersfield Food & Drink festival is held over the first weekend in August. This year, the four day event will run from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th August.
You will be able to come down and visit our stand on Saturday 8th August from 10.00am to 10.00pm. We will giving live demonstrations on how to use the curry paste and be able to answer questions that you may have about Dilishque, our home-made curry paste and dry spices.
We look forward to seeing you there… Tweet us @Dilishque and @huddsfoodfest #PerfectCurry and let us know you are coming.
